Gabriela Ibarra is a PhD candidate in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield, researching the social impact of the built environment in social housing in Mexico. Trained as an architect, she practised in the design and construction field in Mexico City before jumping into the qualitative research and social sciences realm, with particular interest in the consequences of architecture on the everyday life of people.
